Super simple. Very tasty! A Dutch classic served on almost all of the markets in our little country! Warm, sweet and soft, that’s all they are! Poffertjes are a perfect snack or treat to share with a loved one.
Ingredients
- 400 ml lukewarm milk
- 7 gr yeast
- 40 gr butter
- 300 gr flour
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of sugar
- 2 eggs
- Powdered sugar
- Butter

Directions
- Melt the butter in a pan
- Mix together the milk and yeast. let sit for some minutes.
- To a bowl add the flour, salt and sugar. Make a hole in the middle and add in the milk and eggs. Whisk well and add in the butter. Pour the batter into a pipping bottle and let rise for 1 hour. (Don’t fill the pipping bottle all the way full otherwise it will float over)
- Grease the ‘’poffertjes pan’’ with butter and add batter in all the holes. Bake until golden brown, flip and bake again until golden.
- Serve the warm "poffertjes’’ on some butter and sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
