Pita’s with creamy hummus

Super simple. Very tasty! Pita’s are always the way to go and you can eat them with almost everything. But they are on their best with a silky and creamy hummus, so this recipe is must try and you will not regret making it!
Ingredients
Hummus
- 2 cans drained chickpeas
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 80 gr tahini paste
- 3 garlic cloves
- Lemon juice
- Cold water (till nice texture) or use ice cubes
- Salt
- Pepper
- Cumin
- Olive oil
- Paprika
- Parsley
Pita’s
- 400 gr flour
- 7 gr yeast
- 7 gr sugar
- 7 gr salt
- 250 ml lukewarm water
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Directions
- Mix the ingredients for the pita in a bowl, mix well and knead
- Let the dough rise in a oiled bowl for 30 minutes
- Divide the dough in 8 and roll out
- Bake the pita’s in a dry skillet on medium high heat until golden brown
- Cover with a towel and set aside
- Drain chickpeas
- To a pot add the chickpeas with fresh water and baking soda. ones boiling, simmer for 5 minutes. remove from the heat and submerge with ice cold water
- Remove as much skims as possible
- Place the chickpeas in a food processor with the garlic and lemon juice.
- Add the tahini, salt, cumin and ice cold water
- Let the food processor run until the mixture is super smooth
- Serve with paprika powder, parsley and olive oil
