Super simple. Very tasty! The Italian flag pasta, pasta tricolore! This pasta recipe bursts in flavors and shows how easy, delicious and tasty pasta recipes could be and should be! This time we made it with a little twist, tuna, the perfect add on if you ask me!
Ingredients
- 2-3 cans tuna in olive oil

500 gr cherry tomatoes

2 onions
- Basil
- Olive oil
- 100 gr Parmigiano reggiano
- Pine nuts
- Mesclun

3 garlic cloves
- Pepper
- Salt
- 400 gr pasta tricolore
Directions
Mince the onion and garlic.
Cut the tomatoes in half.
Cook the pasta al dente.
In a dry pan fry the pine nuts until golden brown.
To a mixing bowl add the basil, a garlic clove, a handful of Parmigiano and olive oil, blend until smooth.
To a pan with the olive oil of the tuna; add the onion, tomatoes and garlic. Fry for 5 minutes and add the tuna and pesto.
Heat everything through and add last minute the pasta and salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve with mesclun salad, pine nuts and parmigiano
