Super simple. Very tasty! A Thai street food classic, that is super simple to make and full of flavor! Traditionnaly it is made with pork, but you can substitute it for, beef, chicken or any other mince. Top it with an sunny side up egg and you will guaranteed be satisfied!
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- ½ tbsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
- 1 ½ tbsp palm sugar
- 2 shallots
- 6 garlic cloves
- 5 Thai red chilies
- 400 gr beef/pork/chicken mince
- 50 gr Thai basil
- 2-4 eggs
- Jasmin rice
- Long beans
Directions
Mince or make a paste out of the shallots, garlic cloves and chilies
- In a wok on medium high heat with oil fry down and sunny side up egg and set aside
- In the same wok on high fry down the paste or shallots and chilies until fragrant.
- After a minute or so go in with the beef (and garlic)
- When the beef is not pink anymore go in with the long beans and toss for a minute or so
- Season with the soy sauces, fish sauce, oyster sauce and palm sugar. Let simmer until it begins to caramelize.
- Turn off the heat and stir in the Thai basil.
- Serve with jasmine rice, and the crispy fried egg on top. Enjoy!
