Caramelized onion pasta

Super simple. Very tasty! This dish is really different from all other pasta recipes. The sweet and rich flavor makes this dish interesting and tasty, by adding pasta water the sauce will get really creamy and thick!
Ingredients
- 1 kg onions
- Splash balsamic glaze
- 400 gr spaghetti or other pasta variations
- 3 garlic cloves
- Thyme
- 150 gr parmesan cheese
- Bread
- Italian seasonings
- Splash of beef stock
- Olive oil
Directions
- Slice the onions into half to rings and mince the garlic
- To a pan with butter add the onions and let caramelize
- In the meantime slice small cubes of bread and toast in the oven until completely dried out.
- Put the dried out cubes in a blender together with some Italian seasoning and blend
- Toast the bread crumbs in a dry skillet
- When the onions are caramelized add the garlic, thyme, balsamic glaze and the beef stock. Let simmer until the beef stock is dissolved
- Boil the pasta
- Remove the thyme from the pan, add some Parmesan cheese and pasta water and mix well until thick.
- Add the pasta and mix
- Serve and garnish with de breadcrumbs and more parmesan cheese
