Super simple. Very tasty! A Dutch classic, all grandma’s make! A comfy meal, with juice meatballs and a thick and tasty gravy!
Ingredients
- 500 gr half beef half pork mince
- 2 pieces white bread + for serve
- 50-100 ml milk
- 3 el ketjap manis
- 2 tbsp flour
- Salt
- Pepper
- 150 gr butter
- 300 ml beef stock
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp mustard
- Parsley
- Rosemary
- Splash of ketjap Manis

1 tsp coriander seeds crushed

¾ tsp onion powder
- Pinch of nutmeg
- ½ tsp curcuma

Directions
- To a bowl add the white bread with milk and let it soak.
- In a bowl mix together the soaked bread, mince, ketjap manis, gehaktbal kruiden, salt and pepper.
- If the mixture is still wet add some breadcrumbs to it
- Make four to five equal balls and coat them with flour
- Melt the butter in a big pan and let it warm. Add the balls and sear on all sides
- Go in with the beef stock, tomato paste, some ketjap Manis, rosemary sprigs and mustard. Let it simmer on low for 20-30 minutes
- Chop some parsley
- Serve with white bread, the gravy and garnish with parsley.
