Super simple. Very tasty! A Dutch classic, soft chewy cakes that are typically eaten by schoolkids!
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 egg yolk
- 150 gr white custard sugar
- zest of ½ lemon
- Pinch of salt
- 250 gr flour
- 8 gr baking soda
- 100 ml milk
Directions
- Mix the eggs, sugar, zest and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix with a mixer with whiskers to an airy batter.
- Sieve in the flour and baking powder and carefully fold into the batter.
- Add in the milk and carefully mix it through.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius or 400 degrees Fahrenheit
- Take a baking sheet, layer some baking paper onto it, lightly brush with olive oil and dust it with flour.
- Take a spoon and make 4-6 little dots of batter.
- Bake the cakes for about 8 minutes or until golden.
- Let cooldown and enjoy!
