Super simple. Very tasty! The famous British fish pie with a salmon twist. Want to make a pantry staple friendly fish pie? This is the one, by using canned salmon instead of fresh fish, this dish is totally transformed into a pantry friendly dish!
Ingredients

1 kg potatoes
- 250 ml milk + little splash for mash
- 25 gr flour
- 25 gr butter + butter for mash
- 4 cans salmon
- Onion

Carrot
- Celery
- Spinach
- Butter for mash
- Grated cheddar
- Nutmeg
- Parsley
- Lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Peel and cut potatoes
- Add potatoes in boiling water with Salt and cook until fork tender
- Steam spinach for 1 min and drain
- Finely chop onion, carrot and celery
- In a large pan add olive oil and caramelize the onion, carrot and celery, fry and set aside
- In the same pan add the butter and flour, stir and fry a little
- Add the milk little by little to the pan, until a sauce consistency, add last moment before putting it in a baking tray the drained salmon and vegetables.
- Make the mash by combining the boiled potatoes, butter, nutmeg, a splash of milk, salt and pepper
- In a baking tray add salmon/vegetable mixture, season with lemon juice
- Layer your spinach onto it followed by the mash and a generous layer of grated cheddar cheese
- Bake in a preheated oven (180 degrees Celsius) for about 20-30 minutes or until golden Brown
- Cut parsely
- Garnish the pie with some parsley
- Serve with a side salad and/or peas
