Not so simple. Very tasty! Want to impress a friend with one of the best sandwiches you can make? Then start buying the ingredients to make this bad boy of a sandwich! Rich, flavorful and very very tasty!
Ingredients
- 1.5 kg Chuck roast
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 tsp oregano
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 ½ garlic powder
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp peppercorns
- 2 rosemary sprigs
- 2 thyme sprigs
- 4 cubes beef stock
- 3 cups water
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tomato
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 garlic powder
- ½ tsp oregano
- pinch salt
- pepper
- 6 Guajillo peppers
- 3 ancho peppers
- arbol peppers
- 350 ml water
- 8 big slices of bread
- Cilantro
- 16 slices of cheese
- Red onion
- Avocado

Directions
- Deseed the peppers and chop the garlic, onion and tomato
- In a pan with some oil, sear the beef, set aside and saute the onion, garlic and tomato. Add the tomato paste, spices, the peppers and water. Simmer for 30 minutes
- Blend the sauce
- To a pan add the meat and all meat ingredients and strain the sauce into it, let cook for 3-4 hours
- Break down the meat
- Slice the avocado and onion in half rings
- Build the melt by slicing the bread in thick slices, adding some cheese, beef, avocado, red onion, cilantro, more cheese and toast it in a pan with some butter until golden brown. Cover until the cheese is melted
- Serve with some of the birria sauce
