Directions
- Mix together the flour, butter, sugar, half the egg and salt. Knead until a dough is formed. Let it rest in the fridge, but make sure that it is not too cold when rolling it.

- Soak the raisins in some water until a little bigger and softer
- Crack the walnuts
- To a big bowl add the apples, some sugar and cinnamon to taste, the raisins, walnuts and a splash of lemon juice. Mix well
- Make crumbs of crackers or use breadcrumbs
- Roll out ⅚ of the dough until a bit larger than your cake pan.
- Grease the cake pan and layer the dough into it, make sure the sides of the pan are all covered. Add the breadcrumbs to the bottom. Put in the apple mixture.
- Roll out the other part of the dough and cut into strips
- Decorate the pie with the strips and brush with the other half of the egg.
- Bake in the oven at 150 degrees Celsius or 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour.
- Let cool down a little bit before serving
- Serve with whipped cream and enjoy!
